Limericks

A Limerick

By Cindy Screech

There was a young man from Saltash

Who's ways were exceedingly rash

He climbed up a tree

Called out "Look at me!"

And fell to the ground with a crash.

My Koi-boy

By Shelagh Duffy

In my pond is an impish fat Koi,

He greets me with somersaults of joy.

He will flip flop and squirm

When I dangle fat worm.

He's so special, my handsome koi-boy.

Miner Lenny

By Rolfe Porter

There was a coalminer named Lenny

Who said, "I just saw a girl called Jenny

She walked past our pit

She was quite a hit

With all the miners from Abergavenny"

Spiderwoman

By Shelagh Duffy

There's a spider in my garden shed

She's dynamic and grossly well fed,

Her web is a wonder

Which I wont walk under

Lest she fancies my body instead.
